Tensor Unveils New Tower Design

Press release from the issuing company

WOODRIDGE, IL (August 4, 2006) - Tensor Group, Inc. is pleased to announce the introduction of Tensor's newest single-width product offering, the T-500. The T-500 is designed for both the long run and short-run commercial and single-wide hybrid newspaper markets which are incorporating more commercial work into their business plans. The baseline machine, which is currently being offered in several cut-offs and with web widths up to 40 inches wide, is a four-high tower designed with features requested by the commercial printing sector. The innovatively designed, high-speed T-500 press, rated at a speed of 50,000 iph, incorporates three vibrator rollers and three ink form rollers to meet the ink coverage demands of today's growing heatset and UV markets. Plate cylinder cocking with form roller-following, a standard feature, provides an additional valuable tool for accurate registration, with on the run adjustments. The full-bearer T-500 offers substantially more square inches of ink transfer capability than any press in its market. In addition, independent circumferential 10-and 13-side adjustments and a footprint shaftless drive system are standard. This latest offering from Tensor follows a series of very successful new product introductions, including the first 40" single-width unit developed in 1994, the T-400BE full bearer semi-commercial press, the recently released 700mm cutoff T-1400 product, the H-50 folder for 14-web single-width applications, and the high-speed commercial quarter folder for enhanced insert and book folding capability.
