Press release from the issuing company

Durham, N.C., July 31, 2006 – BOWE BELL + HOWELL announces the availability of a new release of the company’s flexible document enhancement tool that enables customers to take best advantage of the capabilities of their mailing equipment and software solutions. TransFormer release 8.1, part of the BÖWE One solution suite, adds new functionality to make it easier than ever for users to encode data for unique document identification, prepare files for dynamic finishing, and regenerate files as needed for closed-loop processing. “The new release includes several major enhancements that make TransFormer easier to use and increases the speed and efficiency of mailing operations,” says Roger Spitzig, president of BÖWE BELL + HOWELL’s Software Business Solutions division. “We continue to invest our resources in bringing the best solutions to market that meet the needs of mailers of all sizes.” The latest release also offers easy integration with the BÖWE One postal data management solution, Postal Data Preparation (PDP). The combined solution opens the door for customers to apply the power of PDP to their legacy print applications for: • Address cleansing and general list maintenance to improve deliverability of every mailing; and • USPS-certified presort software to earn discounts on postage and reduce overall costs of mail production. For more information on TransFormer release 8.1, please contact Sarah Elliott at 919-767-6647 or sarah.elliott@bowebellhowell.com, or visit www.bowebellhowell.com.
