Jan 17 2002, - Effective January 1st 2002, MAN Roland has acquired a controlling interest in J. Metzler GmbH, a sales partner for many years. Dipl.-Vw. Wolfgang Metzler and Ing. Hans Metzler remain managing directors. As additional managing director, Dr.-Ing. Peter Conrady will be in charge of overall sales Prepress, Printing and Finishing. Metzler and MAN Roland have been partners for 40 years. MAN Roland's controlling interest in the Stuttgart company ensures that its sales operations will be integrated even further, and that synergies can be exploited to the full. The takeover is another building block in the integration of the worldwide sales network. J. Metzler GmbH was founded in 1931, as a service workshop for letterpress and offset presses. Today it is an established partner of the graphic arts industry in the Württemberg region of Germany for all questions concerning prepress, printing, finishing, die-cutting, packaging, used machinery as well as service and technical advice.
