Digital Printers using HP Indigo for Award Submissions

Press release from the issuing company

The 2nd Annual Print Excellence And Knowledge (PEAK) Awards competition was held in June to acknowledge companies that not only met customers' printing needs through creativity in design, manufacturing, fulfillment and other services, but also solved problems for end users or improved their clients' business. The competition attracted approximately 220 entries from North America, Australia and Japan. Participating distributors and manufacturers submitted entries in 34 categories that covered the wide expanse of products, applications and programs that the print industry has to offer from 4-color, multi-component commercial printing to e-commerce to promotional products. This year special award categories also were included: Best Distributor Kit, Self Promotion - Simple, Self Promotion - Complex, Money Maker and Time Saver. Of this year's entries, approximately 70% were produced using HP Indigo presses. Peak award winners will be honored at the 2006 Print Solutions Expo and Conference, Oct. 3-5, Chicago. To enjoy the awards banquet, attendees must register for the conference in addition to the Expo. Special thanks to this year's judges: • John Leininger, professor in the Department of Graphic Communications at Clemson University • Joe Schwan, who held top executive positions at Wallace Computer Services and Standard Register until his retirement in 2001 • Ivars Sarkans, a noted printing industry consultant and a member of the Board of Trustees of Print Education and Research Foundation.
