Darren George Named Operations Manager For Xpedx Printing Technologies

LENEXA, Kansas, July 24, 2006 -- Darren George has been named operations manager for xpedx Printing Technologies of Lenexa, KS. The company is the exclusive full-line marketer and distributor of Ryobi-branded printing presses in the U.S. George has an 18-year career in the printing and graphics industry, eight of which are with xpedx. Before assuming the top operations post at xpedx Printing Technologies, George served as central regional manager for the company, managing 22 dealers across 17 states and responsible for doubling the sales revenue over the past three years. He reports directly to xpedx Printing Technologies vice president and general manager Don Harvey. “Darren is a talented printing technology, sales, service and operations professional,” said Harvey. “He has strong, longstanding relationships with printers and graphics dealers across the U.S. as well as deep experience in operations management. He has already identified and implemented several important customer-focused operational improvements and more are on the way.” Prior to joining xpedx, George was a technical sales manager for five years at Accel Graphic Systems, Dallas, where he also had national accounts responsibility and managed distributors across the Midwest and South. From 1988 to 1993, he served as technical service department manager for Taylor Corp. at its Mankato, MN, headquarters. He began his career as a printing press operator at Taylor Corp.
