Tom Kaz Named District Sales Representative for Mitsubishi Lithographic Presses

LINCOLNSHIRE, Ill. — Mitsubishi Lithographic Presses (MLP U.S.A., Inc.) has announced the appointment of Tom Kaz as a District Sales Representative for the company's Eastern Region. He is responsible for sales of Mitsubishi sheetfed presses throughout the state of New York. Kaz was chosen for this position because of his wide-ranging sales experience and proven record in the printing industry, according to Mitsubishi. He brings to the Mitsubishi sales team knowledge of sheetfed and digital presses, as well as screen-printing equipment, prepress devices and bindery systems. Kaz began his career in sales in 1989 with Lincoln Electric Co., the leading manufacturer of welding equipment, in Cleveland, Ohio. Most recently, he served for seven years as a sales executive for Heidelberg USA, covering the New York metropolitan area. Kaz is a 1988 graduate of Cornell University in Ithaca, N.Y., where he earned a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. He resides in Montclair, N.J. Mitsubishi Diamond series sheetfed presses are available in a range of sizes, from the 28-inch Diamond 1000 series to the 56-inch Diamond 6000 series, and configurations up to 12 printing units. Fast job makeready, ease of operation and high throughput are hallmarks of the Diamond series. Mitsubishi is at the forefront of the implementation of the Job Definition Format specification, and is working with other vendors toward full integration of Mitsubishi presses into a JDF-enabled workflow.
