Mail Advertising Systems Inc. broadens its services with Bravo-T stitchers and Acoro A7 perfect binder

Press release from the issuing company

Smyrna, Georgia - Today's increasingly competitive graphic arts marketplace demands versatility, flexibility and responsiveness; and these are three ways in which Mail Advertising Systems Inc. is enhancing its business with the installation of two Bravo-T saddle stitchers and an Acoro A7 perfect binder, each from Muller Martini. "The new equipment is broadening our service offerings," says Mark Pannell (title ?) at Mail Advertising Systems Inc. Besides widening the possibilities for sales growth, the technology also means that the company can better meet the needs of its market. "Customers are very impressed that we can save them time and money with our ability to inkjet inline with our stitchers, binders and folders," continues Mr. Pannell. Mail Advertising Systems Inc. is a growing business employing 90 people and offering a diverse range of services including stitching, adhesive binding, folding, cutting, shrink-wrapping and polybagging. The company operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The two Bravo-T saddle stitchers at Mail Advertising Systems were installed in March, 2005 and each has been configured with six pockets. The Acoro A7 perfect binder will be installed in March, 2006, providing the company with superior binding quality and a high level of automation. The Muller Martini Bravo-T stitcher has been engineered to deliver speed and increased efficiency to busy shops, running at up to 11,000 cycles per hour and featuring PLC assisted controls and a menu-guided screen for quick and easy set-ups and changeovers. Bravo-T comes equipped with a three-knife trimmer and due to its modular design, it can be expanded at any time to feed up to 14 signatures or 12 signatures with a cover folder feeder - meeting the requirements of growing printing and binding businesses. In addition to the fastest make-readies of any medium-speed saddle stitcher on the market, the Muller Martini Bravo-T offers the highest price-performance ratio of any stitcher in its class. Other advantages include: gripper and suction opening; individual 1:2/1:1 gearing; heavy-duty in-line single book trimmer; and frequency controlled drive. Muller Martini's Acoro A7 perfect binder has the shortest set-up and changeover times of any adhesive binding system in the mid-range performance segment, optimizing productivity and cost-effectiveness even with small and medium runs. The Acoro A7 operates at up to 7,000 cycles per hour and provides automatic changeover for book thickness, saving time while reducing labor requirements. Muller Martini's Commander control system enables product specifications to be entered for production on the Acoro A7 by simply tapping graphic symbols on a touchscreen. All job- and thickness-related make-ready and changeover tasks are controlled centrally, and, Commander also allows on-the-fly adjustments of individual machine settings.
