Delphax Technologies Names Sales and Marketing Vice President

MINNEAPOLIS, July 13 -- Delphax Technologies Inc., a global leader in the design, manufacture and delivery of advanced digital print production systems and electron-beam technology, today announced that George P. Carranza has joined the company as vice president, sales and marketing. "This is a critically important position for a company that has recently introduced a new line of high-speed digital presses to the international commercial printing industry," said Dieter Schilling, president and chief executive officer of Delphax. "We believe that George brings to us exactly the kind of skills and experience needed to win marketplace recognition for the productivity advantages offered by Delphax's electron-beam imaging technology." Carranza, who has more than 20 years of sales, marketing and general management experience in the printing-equipment industry, was most recently vice president of eastern hemisphere and military sales for International Truck & Engine Corp., the primary operating subsidiary of Navistar International. He held a series of management positions with Xerox Corporation from 1980 to 2001, including director of sales and marketing for Xerox Mexicana SA de CV in Mexico City; Beijing Region general manager for Xerox (China) Limited, Beijing, China, and general manager of the office business unit of Xerox's North American Solutions Group. Carranza later served as vice president, worldwide sales for Vutek Corporation, a manufacture of wide-format digital printers, and vice president and general manager with Educational Products, Inc. He is a graduate of California State University and holds an MBA from the University of Chicago.
