Ann Arbor, Michigan – July 12, 2006 – Xitron, the prepress industry's leading independent developer and integrator of Raster Image Processors, RIP management software and workflow solutions; today announced the availability of the Navigator Chinese RIP, Version 7. Navigator Chinese RIP, version 7 is Xitron’s latest release for the Chinese market, intended for installations requiring either traditional or simplified Chinese language support. By incorporating these two languages, Xitron brings the latest in RIP technology to one of the world’s most rapidly growing market segments. The core RIP is registered with the Chinese Software Registration Centre. “Xitron is committed to the Pacific region and specifically to the Asian marketplace,” stated R. Patrick French, Xitron’s Vice President, Sales & Marketing. “Our most recent release of the Navigator RIP in traditional and simplified Chinese is a prime example of that commitment.” Navigator 7.0 provides significant enhancements over previous versions of the Navigator RIP, including native support for PDF 1.5 files, PDF/X-1a:2003 and PDF/X3:2003 formats.
