Tell It Like It Is Sessions Highlight Executive Outlook 2006 Program

Press release from the issuing company

July 11, 2006 -- What are the next “disruptive technologies” lurking in the wings waiting to stir up the printing business? Where should printers direct their investment dollars today to enhance their success tomorrow and stay ahead of their competitors? These are among the probing questions that will be answered for attendees by the conclusion of the annual EXECUTIVE OUTLOOK Conference on Saturday, October 14 at McCormick Place in Chicago. EXECUTIVE OUTLOOK has traditionally been held the day before the opening of GRAPH EXPO and CONVERTING EXPO, the year's foremost exposition for graphic arts, package printing and related technologies. The all-day Conference presents information on a variety of technologies — changes to the old and established, significant evolutions and improvements to technology, and most importantly, emerging and/or new or about-to-come-on-to-the-market technology. For the Conference attendee, EXECUTIVE OUTLOOK provides them with the “what and why” for their tours of the show floor. This year's conference theme, “Connecting Technology for Profit,” will shape a full day of general and breakout sessions, concluding with the announcement of the “MUST SEE ‘EMSSM” products and technologies at the show. The “Tell It Like It Is” sessions will assess the current and future status of a wide range of industry technologies, including concrete recommendations for effective investments. The afternoon will be devoted to a series of action-oriented “How-To” presentations emphasizing practical, hands-on guidance about new technology. The program's opening session will be “Recovering from Adversity with Diversity,” a detailed look at marketplace trends and how printers are applying new technology to create diversified product and service offerings. Conference Chair Bill Lamparter of PrintCom Consulting Group will be joined by NPES Vice President Kip Smythe in a “point-counterpoint” presentation that will draw on recent research conducted by the Print Industries Market Information and Research Organization (PRIMIR). Rochester Institute of Technology Prof. Frank Cost will describe today's most advanced digital production technology and describe the underlying systems for tomorrow's creation and distribution of print. The traditionally enlightening EXECUTIVE OUTLOOK luncheon will feature print industry veteran Frank Romano. EXECUTIVE OUTLOOK is part of a 60+ session seminar program that accompanies GRAPH EXPO and CONVERTING EXPO. Complete information about the program and the show is available at www.gasc.org.
