International Paper Announces Additional Manufacturing Facility for Accent Opaque Papers

Press release from the issuing company

[MEMPHIS, Tenn. – July 10, 2006] – International Paper (IP) is expanding production of its Accent Opaque papers to the company’s Courtland, Ala. mill. Courtland is becoming a secondary production facility for Accent Opaque. IP currently produces Accent Opaque solely at its Ticonderoga, N.Y. mill, so this expansion is an addition in production capacity for the opaque grade. “We believe in the future of Accent Opaque, and this move is evidence of the commitment International Paper has for its Printing Papers business and more importantly for the growth we look forward to in the opaque category,” said John Sims, Printing and Bristols business manager. “This is just another way we are continuing to deliver value for our customers and make improvements to meet their needs.” Accent Opaque papers produced at Courtland will be a commercial match to IP’s current product manufactured in Ticonderoga, providing the runnability, printability and consistency customers have come to expect from Accent Opaque. Recently improved with IP’s VIP Technologies, Accent Opaque papers are priced like economical opaques, but performs as well as the premium grades. Accent Opaque is ideal for high-end projects as well as practical, budget-minded ones. IP recommends specifying Accent Opaque for your next project to see why the company says now more than ever, Accent Opaque is The Clear Value in Opaques.
