All-Out Inc, New Start-Up Printer, Chooses KBA Rapida 142 Large Format Press

Press release from the issuing company

KBA North America, a leading sheetfed offset press manufacturer based in Williston, Vt., is announcing that All-Out, Inc., a new general commercial printer located in Woodridge, Ill., will be seizing the large format market and differentiating itself from the 40-inch market by installing a new KBA Rapida 142 56-inch five color press. The new press will be installed in All-Out’s 25,000 sq ft facility in July 2006. “Our main goal in serving our customers is to be able to offer them a wide variety of printing----from large format printing to short-run, variable, on-demand work,” says J.B. Capuano, All-Out’s president. “The new KBA Rapida 142 will allow us to produce all types of commercial work as well as packaging and point-of-purchase, while a new Kodak NexPress, being installed in June 2006, will give us the ability to produce short-run personalized variable work.” All-Out Inc. was formed by a core group of employees led by Capuano, whose father had started a family-owned general commercial printing business and subsequently sold it to Consolidated Graphics six-and-a-half years ago. After working under the new firm for several years, Capuano wanted to strike out on his own with his own printing business. In November 2005, the group formed their new company and acted as print brokers for their designer, ad agency, and corporate clientele clustered mainly in the Midwest. Going ‘all-out’ for their customers “We chose the name ‘All-Out’ because our motto is to go ‘all-out’ for our customers,” Capuano says. “Since we had been in the 40-inch conventional sheetfed market for so many years, we knew we didn’t want our new business to be just another 40-inch printer. We wanted to be different. We don’t want to be pigeon-holed. Buying the 56-inch KBA press differentiates us in the marketplace and gives us much more flexibility to produce a variety of work. We will be able to focus on adding accounts such as: Point of Purchase, Display, Label & high end cosmetic packaging.” The KBA Rapida 142 56-inch five-color sheetfed press with coater is equipped with an array of KBA high-tech systems, including KBA’s Densitronic S closed loop color control system, a combined density and color measuring system for quality control both during and after printing. Capuano chose to add an inline slitter at the delivery end of the press to give his firm the flexibility to cut the 56-inch sheets after printing into two-up jobs to fit the client’s needs, thereby increasing speed and throughput, and decreasing waste. KBA press---best in the market “We did extensive research and looked at many presses from other manufacturers before we chose the KBA Rapida 142,” says Bob Pawlicki, account representative. “After comparing all of the various models on the market, we believe the KBA is the best. That coupled with a brand new state of the art prepress department headed up by Craig Rehr and we will be set.” During the next few months, the firm will be gearing up for the arrival and installation of the press. After visiting KBA’s headquarters in Germany to see his press being built and leaving the factory very impressed with the workmanship and technology, Capuano returned to Germany in early June for sign off with his VP of Operations, Gordon Gizowski. “Once we have both presses up and running, we’ll hold an open house,” says Dan Kotas, account representative. “Our clients trust that we’ve chosen the best possible equipment on the market and they are excited to have their jobs running under our own roof.”
