Laser One Installs MICRcheck In-line MICR Verifier

Press release from the issuing company

Burlington, MA (June 27, 2006) - Laser One has added the MICRcheck in-line MICR verifier from Lasermax Roll Systems to their digital printer line at their print facility in Omaha, Nebraska. MICRcheck provides assurance of MICR print quality to organizations printing large volumes of checks on high-speed continuous digital printers, without the waste and interruptions inherent in an off-line verification process. "With MICRcheck, we have proof of our MICR quality, and assurance that our operation is producing checks that will meet ANSI standards. And because it operates in-line, disruption of printing is minimized. MICRcheck has increased my peace of mind," said Steve Pruch, general manager at Laser One. When compared to off-line verification, MICRcheck benefits include reduced printing system downtime and avoidance of re-printing costs. Most significantly, MICRcheck's ease of use allows for more frequent testing, greatly reducing the risks of undetected poor quality checks. MICRcheck consists of a magnetic read unit mounted on a web handling module, integrated with a separate computer to provide a user interface with analysis charts, reports, and archived test data. For users with multiple MICR print lines, this data is available for central consolidation, facilitating management analysis and record maintenance for post-audit purposes. Laser One is a leading firm in the print and mail services market. Laser One is a division of First National Bank located in Omaha, Nebraska. First National Bank is a commercial bank and part of the First National of Nebraska, a financial services holding company. With nearly $16 billion in managed assets and over 8,000 employees, First National of Nebraska is one of the fifty largest bank holding companies in the United States.
