Exstream Software Cited as Category Leader in Celent's Deal Trends Reports For Second Consecutive Year

Press release from the issuing company

Exstream Software, Inc. today announced that it has been named a leading provider of insurance document management solutions by Boston-based Celent, LLC for a second year in the analyst firm’s "Insurance Software Deal Trends 2004-2005” reports published this month. Based on its deal volume, Exstream was cited in both the life/health and property/casualty editions as one of the top three out of fifteen leading providers in the document management category, which includes creation of policies, certificates and correspondence. Additionally, Exstream was listed in the top three leading vendors by deal flow for all software vendors in the Celent Traction Index. The Traction Index scores vendors based on the submitted deals and types of relationships represented in those deals. Celent’s independent, industry-leading reports are based on a sample of 1,158 software deals in insurance signed in 2004 and 2005 by 68 vendors. Details about the majority of the deals analyzed—including the carrier type, carrier size, and business processes supported—were provided by the vendors. Additional deals were captured by reviewing public data sources. The report analyzes deals across four metacategories and 42 subcategories. More information about the reports is available online at www.celent.com. “The results of our study show that document issues are a priority for carriers of all sizes,” says Craig Weber, senior analyst in Celent’s insurance group and author of the reports. “There is increasing awareness that old-fashioned approaches to documents fall short of service expectations and present serious cost concerns.” “Celent’s recognition of Exstream’s success in the document management space is a reflection of our commitment to go beyond document composition and offer technology solutions that streamline complex document creation processes and integrate workflows,” said Michael Charest, group vice president of insurance solutions at Exstream. “A big focus for our company is to alleviate the inherent complexity of document creation and delivery while offering regulatory support and enterprise workflow solutions that provide insurers with the technology to create compliant documents and manage the approval process with unprecedented control and efficiency. We are especially pleased with our Traction Index rating which reflects our commitment to the insurance vertical and to software vendors looking to partner with a market leader.” Leading insurance providers around the world have chosen Exstream’s Dialogue enterprise personalization solution, including Aflac, Ameritas, CIGNA, Concord, CSAA, Guardian, HealthNow NY, Penn National, ING and Oxford Health plans.
