Yale University Office of Development Wins I3 Award for AnyDoc Software Document and Data Processing Solution

Press release from the issuing company

TAMPA, Fla. – May 26, 2006 – AnyDoc Software, a leading provider of automated document and data capture solutions, today announced that their client, the Yale University Office of Development, has been awarded the Integrated Solutions I3 Award for the Innovative Small to Midsize Business Installation category. The award was presented during the 2006 AIIM Expo in Philadelphia, Penn. The Yale University Office of Development was honored for a solution that automatically processes data from the nearly 2,000 donation cards the university receives each day from its many alumni. The backbone for this solution is OCR for AnyDoc, the award-winning flagship product from AnyDoc Software that facilitates document and data capture for thousands of organizations across the world. The solution was developed for Yale by AnyDoc value-added reseller AMS Imaging of Warwick, R.I. Prior to the installation, 16 Yale employees manually entered critical data from the donation cards into the university’s donation database each day. They manually processed data from nearly 40 form types to meet every donation designation need for 14 schools and departments across the university. After the manual data entry, the cards were scanned in batches and the images were manually indexed for digital storage and archiving. Soon after AMS implemented the solution, the Office of Development began to realize a 70 percent decrease in their processing workload. Now the donation cards are scanned, then OCR for AnyDoc automatically indexes and captures the document images and data, regardless of which form type is scanned. The document images are automatically stored into a document management system for easy archival and retrieval, and the data entry into the university’s donation is now likewise automated. Additionally, all donation cards denoting address changes get routed automatically to the Alumni Relations Office for prompt revision. Updated donation information is now available almost instantly; previously, access to this information was delayed for 24 hours. “AnyDoc Software is very proud of Yale’s Office of Development implementation and the recognition the I3 Award provides them,” said Charles W. Jackson, president of AnyDoc Software. “We are elated that OCR for AnyDoc has proven to be so beneficial for them in this award-winning solution.” The Integrated Solutions I3 Award, which stands for Innovate, Integrate, and Inspire, honors end-users that have implemented outstanding document and content management technology solutions in their organizations. The Innovative Small to Midsize Business Installation category recognizes organizations with less than $1 billion in annual revenue.
