Kodak and Prinova Team Up at AIIM On Demand to Showcase the Power of Color Variable Data Printing

Press release from the issuing company

PHILADELPHIA, May 16—The revenue generating opportunities for companies that combine variable data printing (VDP) technologies from Kodak with Prinova's integrated document design and implementation methodology will be featured at the 2006 AIIM ON DEMAND Conference and Exposition. “Through the use of data and images to personalize and customize digital color printed materials, companies can create more effective customer communications that attract and hold the attention of their customers with relevant content,” said Ron Gilboa, Vice President of Marketing, Kodak Versamark. “By teaming up with Prinova at AIIM ON DEMAND, we are showcasing a broad range of variable data printing capabilities that customers can start using today to grow their businesses.” Kodak and Prinova will demonstrate the range and flexibility of color variable data printing and content personalization through a fictitious company, Checkfirst Investments, created just for AIIM ON DEMAND. The Prinova designed application begins with a solicitation letter that asks customers to identify the type of relationship they want with Checkfirst Investments. That information is scanned and used to drive the application that produces a personalized faux Checkfirst Investments welcome kit and the transactional statement and confirmations central to the demonstration. “The growth of VDP reflects the fact that customers represent a company's most valuable asset. Smart companies develop strategies that speak directly to customers in ways that go far beyond what was possible just a couple of years ago,” said Steve Biancaniello, Vice President, Professional Services, Prinova, Inc. “By using digital technology and leveraging the information companies already collect, companies can produce high quality personalized messages focused on growing relationships and increasing the value of each customer touchpoint.” Visitors to the Kodak booth (#1901) will see how color can improve the customer experience for even the most conservative documents. A KODAK NEXPRESS 2500 digital production color press will produce the welcome kit, and a KODAK VERSAMARK VT3000 printing system will be used for the statements and confirmation. An additional confirmation example demonstrates the power of the KODAK DIRECTPRESS 5634 DI System and KODAK DIGIMASTER print systems for imprinting on offset shells.
