DATAMATX Expands Services with Two New Print Stream Solutions

Press release from the issuing company

Atlanta, Georgia, May 16, 2006 – DATAMATX, one of the nation’s largest privately held, full-service providers of printed and electronic billing solutions, today announced it has developed two new services that streamline the pre-print process and ensure greater accuracy of its clients’ transactional documents without affecting the original print stream. FolioPDF is proprietary software that allows DATAMATX to accept and parse complex data files of any type. It provides the capability to take any single document within a print stream, create a PDF of it, make necessary changes and generate an accurate document without having to re-purpose its content or re-create the entire print stream. For example, DATAMATX can take address information from the original print stream, run it through CASS (a USPS system that measures the accuracy of addresses in three areas: (1) ZIP+4 delivery point coding, (2) carrier route coding, and (3) five-digit coding) and then put any new, more accurate information back into the original document. Using FolioPDF, DATAMATX clients will benefit from greater accuracy of customer information and faster turnaround of documents. For companies printing and mailing a high volume of statement and invoices, this benefit represents huge savings in time, postal discounts and decreases the cost associated with returned mail. In addition to FolioPDF, DATAMATX has also developed eApprove2, the second generation of its eApprove system, which allows for the authorization of statements for printing, viewing and approving documents on an account-by-account or statement-by-statement basis. With eApprove2, documents can be reviewed and accepted or rejected on an individual basis, making it possible to specify only those documents that are approved for print. Comments regarding the document as well as the initials of the reviewer can be captured on the document itself, providing an audit trail critical to industries such as collections, where legal review of customer communications is required by law. eApprove2 saves time, ensures compliance and saves money with its ability to print and mail only those documents that are approved in the print stream. “At DATAMATX, we have always taken the lead when it comes to developing or investing in new technology,” said Harry Stephens, president and CEO. “These new solutions developed by our staff are cutting-edge and are specifically designed to save our customers time and money. Most important, they highlight our ongoing commitment to ensure our clients’ documents are handled using the most streamlined, innovative and efficient processes available.”
