Cabinet NG Announces CNG-LINKto Series for Third Party Business Applications

Press release from the issuing company

AIIM & On Demand Expos (Booth # 126), Pennsylvania Convention Center, May 15, 2006 – Cabinet NG, Inc., the preeminent solution to the “paper cuts profit” problem in small and medium sized businesses (SMBs), today announced the CNG-LINKto Series which enables the seamless integration of its flagship document management solution, CNG-SAFE, with major third party business applications. With CNG-LINKto, users can now effectively link document management with their various business applications where a vast amount of critical information is created and resides. The initial LINKto Series offerings available today support Sage's ACT!, MS Outlook, and Client Marketing Systems' Advisors Assistant. CNG-LINKto ACT! automatically synchronizes ACT! contact entries with Cabinet NG document folder indexes. CNG-LINKto Outlook automatically files emails into CNG-SAFE. CNG-LINKto Advisors Assistant augments a financial planner's ability to mange client portfolios with necessary financial documents. According to a recent Yankee Group survey, topping the list of pains for SMBs is the need to integrate different applications and systems that often stand alone. The survey cites that 45% of small firms found it difficult to get work done with unshared business information sitting separately in different applications. “The reality is that business information continues to be locked up within silos of various applications. We routinely find that our clients are running finance and accounting software, sales-management and customer-relations programs that do not talk to each other. To truly create effective and efficient firm-wide business processes, companies need to connect their processes with an information repository,” said Andrew Bailey, President of Cabinet NG. “CNG-LINKto enables our customers to easily bridge content within the CNG-SAFE document management repository with key operational applications to create a more responsive and efficient organization.” "The paper problem is as critical to small and medium businesses as it is to large enterprises, " said Kwon Chin, Research Manager at IDC. "Companies such as Cabinet NG whose offerings cater to the needs of SMB and the workgroup/departmental market can have a direct, positive impact on not only productivity in these organizations, but also contribute directly to enhancing the bottom line." CNG-LINKto ACT! CNG-LINKto ACT! provides a transparent connection that merges ACT! contact fields into the CNG-SAFE filing structure. Users can view documents filed in CNG-SAFE directly from within ACT! or launch the CNG-SAFE application for additional document functionality. CNG-LINKto ACT! automatically maintains synchronization between ACT! contact fields and CNG-SAFE file indexes. With the CNG-LINKto Series, tying ACT! to a comprehensive document management platform has never been this integrated and simple to use. The current CNG-LINKto ACT! supports ACT! 2006. CNG-LINKto Outlook CNG-LINKto Outlook automatically files sent and received emails into the CNG-SAFE document repository. Using the email's address, CNG-LINKto Outlook will file and make important emails available for action by other users in an organization who have proper access rights. A typical use for CNG-LINKto Outlook would be to file client emails containing information such as a purchase order or information requests according to their email (or alias) addresses. Access to filed emails also is automatically granted to authorized users within the organization. As a result, quicker client response times are achieved by automatically filing emails and making them available for processing. The current CNG-LINKto Outlook supports Microsoft Exchange and POP3 client configurations. CNG-LINKto Advisors Assistant CNG-LINKto Advisors Assistant ties a financial advisor's client information, within the Advisors Assistant application from Client Marketing Systems, to a wide array of essential account-related documents. Advisors can more efficiently handle client inquires by accessing the necessary documents directly from within the Advisor Assistant application. Electronic documents filed within CNG-SAFE are provided additional security barriers at the cabinet, folder, and document levels. CNG-SAFE also records user activity and generates an audit log to aid in the compliance process. CNG-LINKto Series interfaces require CNG-SAFE version 5.4 or higher. Volume shipments of CNG-LINKto ACT! is scheduled for June 15 and CNG-LINKto Outlook & CNG-LINKto AA are scheduled for June 30. Each CNG-LINKto interface is priced at $495.
