Creo Print On-Demand Solutions Group Demonstrates Powerful Workflow Integrations Throughout ON DEMAND 2006

AIIM ON DEMAND Exposition, Philadelphia, PA, USA (May 16, 2005) – Creo Print On-Demand Solutions Group (PODS) is demonstrating digital color servers and variable data printing (VDP) at five different booths at ON DEMAND 2006. Creo PODS is demonstrating connectivity to new printers and presses of its industry-leading partners. Creo PODS is an independent unit of Kodak’s Graphic Communications Group. “Our color servers connect to the digital presses of leading suppliers in several market segments and demonstrate workflow integration with many partners. This indicates the leadership and open connectivity of CREO PODS solutions,” said Ronen Cohen, General Manager, Creo Print On-Demand Solutions Group. “At ON DEMAND you will see CREO PODS products and technology demonstrated at many booths. Our digital color servers and applications are the preferred choice of professionals who want to grow their bottom line.” CREO PODS products are being demonstrated at the following partner booths: •Adobe Systems is hosting the Creo PODS Group for a presentation of variable data printing (VDP) solutions at booth # 800. •GBC is presenting the Spire CXP8000 color server driving the XEROX DocuColor 8000 Digital Press at booth # 1849. •Hewlett-Packard launches the new HP INDIGO Production Stream Server powered by CREO PODS. The Production Stream Servers transfer offset print jobs using KODAK PRINERGY workflow systems to an HP INDIGO digital press. Hewlett-Packard is also showing the newest DARWIN VI authoring tool for INDESIGN software for WINDOWS users that includes personalized images and multiple output format support and other new and exciting features. HP is also showing the CREO Web Composition Solution (WCS) integrated with PRESS-SENSE IWAY PRIME to show a fully automated VDP solution. Booth # 1424 •Konica Minolta is demonstrating the new IC-301 print controller, powered by CREO PODS, driving the BIZHUB PRO C500 color production printing system. Booth # 2125 •Xerox Corporation is demonstrating the new Spire CXP50 color server driving the new XEROX DocuColor 5000 Digital Color Press. Creo PODS is also demonstrating the Spire color server for the XEROX IGEN3 110 Digital Production Press. Booth # 2100 New On-Demand Applications at ON DEMAND 2006 New Release! DARWIN VI Authoring Tool for ADOBE INDESIGN, WINDOWS OS The latest version of the DARWIN VI authoring tool is being demonstrated for the growing number of ADOBE INDESIGN CS2 software users who utilize the WINDOWS operating system. Version 1.5 of the DARWIN application includes advanced new features for enhanced VDP production, such as multiple automatic barcode generation types and personalized images for creating visually rich 1:1 campaigns with impressive impact. The personalized-image feature gives users the power to create graphically rich VDP jobs that produce high-impact communications that can realistically render the names of direct mail recipients using creative images and textures. Users of the DARWIN VI authoring tool are now able to output any file format (CREO VPS, Optimized POSTSCRIPT, VIPP, PPML/PPML/VDX) without additional cost. Integrating Web Composition Solution The Web Composition Solution (WCS) will be integrated with the PRESS-SENSE IWAY PRIME solution. WCS is a robust and fully automated variable data printing application used for creating personalized direct mail, document versioning, targeted catalogs and other custom-printed documents in 1:1 marketing campaigns. Integrating WCS with IWAY PRIME provides print buyers with a complete web-based, end-to-end print-on-demand workflow and management solution. The integrated solutions allow print providers and buyers to use design-rich, logic-based templates for variable data and version printing. Print buyers can produce highly complex customized documents instantly using templates that help maintain design integrity. This integration is being demonstrated at the HP booth # 1424.
