New KODAK TeamWorks 2.0 Software Enables Winning Collaboration among Creative Professionals and Print Providers

Press release from the issuing company

PHILADELPHIA, May 16 -- Team members involved in the development of creative content for print jobs have a more efficient and collaborative way to manage projects from anywhere in the world and anytime around the clock. With a Web connected computer and new KODAK TeamWorks 2.0 software, participants can share, organize, review, proof, annotate, track and approve files. Kodak features TeamWorks 2.0 software at this week’s AIIM ON DEMAND Conference & Exposition. TeamWorks 2.0 software is a convenient and seamless extension of the KODAK InSite Web based workflow and KODAK EyeMedia digital asset management software, offering a better way for creative professionals and their customers to share and review content. TeamWorks 2.0, InSite and EyeMedia software together form a common Web solution for all stages of the workflow from concept to production, with TeamWorks 2.0 software focusing on content creation. TeamWorks 2.0 software is available in both standalone and KODAK PRINERGY workflow system integrated versions. “TeamWorks 2.0 software makes it easy for creative and print production professionals to communicate with their customers and print providers at every step of a job,” said Pat Lord, Product Manager for Portal Products, Kodak. “By streamlining content creation through online project management, TeamWorks 2.0 software reduces cycle times and strengthens stakeholder partnerships.” TeamWorks 2.0 software includes a range of real time collaboration tools that improve production efficiencies and customer collaboration. For proofing, users can proof a large variety of file formats. Pixel streaming technology allows full resolution images to be accessed quickly, with the capability to zoom in to the smallest detail. Multiple users can be designated to view and annotate creative content, and can compare files to see what changes have been made and to verify that requested/required revisions have been applied. Optional KODAK MATCHPRINT Virtual software for color accurate monitor proofing extends color process control throughout the TeamWorks workflow. To more effectively organize projects, users can easily upload and download files, preserving any established folder structures in the process. Creative content can be moved among projects and, in combination with EyeMedia software, between libraries and projects. New jobs can be created based on templates that predefine attributes of the project. Creation of workflow tasks is made simple with flexible and intuitive tools that organize and manage the content creation process. Users create tasks and identify the files involved, as well as the stakeholders and their responsibilities. Participants receive notifications to view the work assigned to them and about project status. Other features of TeamWorks 2.0 software include file sharing. TeamWorks 2.0 software provides a convenient, secure and organized way to share content among stakeholders, regardless of physical location. Users can view a sequential log of activities performed with a given project using the software’s History View function. “Smart Review and the new task based management features in TeamWorks 2.0 software have really improved the way we work with our customers,” says Jerry Mills, Vice President, J & L Digital Image, Inc. “TeamWorks 2.0 software, along with KODAK InSite software, has created a ‘centralized virtual workspace’ that offers our customers global accessibility, from the collaborative stages to production. We feel that our business likely will double or more because of the ‘complete picture’ we now offer our customers.”
