Tuesday, October 23, 2007

Press release from the issuing company

October 23, 2007 -- [Cohoes, NY] - The new do-it-yourself website, Strathmore.com makes it easier than ever to get Strathmore Writing and Strathmore Script papers.  For your letterhead, business cards, announcements and invitation needs Mohawk Fine Papers Inc. has announced that Strathmore Writing and Strathmore Script papers are now available for purchase through its new online store:  Strathmore.com.
Now available for purchase on Strathmore.com
Printers and designers can now purchase hundreds of Strathmore papers by the ream along with matching envelopes and label stock. Strathmore Pure Cotton, Strathmore Script, and Strathmore Writing 25% letterhead papers are available in a full range of weights from 20 lb. Writing to 110 lb. Cover Bristol.  Envelopes are also available in a variety of A-sizes, Monarch, #10 commercial, and #10 square flap.  Labels are available in six shades.
"Despite the fact that Strathmore papers are widely available through an excellent network of paper merchants, stores, and online retailers, customers continue to ask if we can sell them small quantities of paper and envelopes. This new e-commerce site makes it possible for printers and designers to order the small quantities of paper they need - and get those papers immediately.  Strathmore.com is an important step towards further improving Mohawk's service and removing a barrier to the specification of our products," says Laura Shore, Mohawk's Senior Vice President Marketing Communications.  Shore says Mohawk will ship orders the same day via UPS and other UPS shipping options are available.  All major credit cards are accepted.
"Intuitively designed, Strathmore.com lets customers place and process a paper transaction quickly and easily.  Because of the breadth of line, it's often not possible for our distribution partners to stock every possible line item. The new site gives printers access to the full line of colors and finishes," says Bart Robinson, Director, Strategic Market and Channel Development.
Strathmore.com offers dual functionality.  Customers who need help choosing the right combination of papers will find that the new website quickly guides them through the specification of a complete identity system - solving that frustrating and time-consuming process of rifling through multiple lines and dozens of swatchbooks.  Printers and designers can find coordinating colors, weights and finishes in a matter of minutes.  And now they can order samples or proceed to place an order at the same time.
"Now it couldn't be easier to specify and buy Strathmore," says Shore.  "This is an important first step in providing universal access of our products online to customers."
