Kodak Engages Attendees in the Power to Grow at AIIM ON DEMAND Conference & Exposition

ROCHESTER, N.Y., May 10 -- “The Power to Grow” is the focus as Kodak exhibits the broadest portfolio of solutions—encompassing digital printing, distributed and production scanning, unified workflow, software tools, and monitor and inkjet proofing—at the 2006 AIIM ON DEMAND Conference & Exposition, May 16 to 18 in Philadelphia. Kodak’s booth, #1901, will feature products and services to help digital print providers maximize efficiency and revenue potential and document management professionals enhance image quality and productivity. “From the newest digital print technologies to information about a new program that helps our customers generate new business to demonstrations on the benefits of a KODAK Unified Workflow solution, digital printers will learn how partnering with Kodak can help them enhance profitability,” said Kevin Joyce, Managing Director, United States and Canada Region, and Vice President, Kodak’s Graphic Communications Group. “In document imaging, we’ll showcase the industry’s most productive portfolio of distributed and production scanners and software that deliver superior quality, speed and flexibility.” Growth through Digital Printing To assist graphic communications providers in taking their businesses to the next level, the newly named KODAK MARKETMOVER business development services will launch at AIIM ON DEMAND. MARKETMOVER services deliver an expanded range of innovative tools, resources, and support to enable customers to maximize their return on investment in new technologies and achieve dynamic business growth. As part of this announcement, Kodak is introducing the KODAK MARKETMOVER Premier Packages, which have been developed to support owners of the KODAK NEXPRESS digital production color presses, KODAK DIGIMASTER black and white print systems, and the KODAK DIRECTPRESS DI digital offset systems. Kodak and Prinova will team up at AIIM ON DEMAND to showcase a way that print providers can offer their customers greater value. Kodak and Prinova will demonstrate the flexibility of variable data printing through a custom application, “Reach out with Kodak—Growing Customer Value with Integrated Customer Communications.” By combining the power of variable data and customized images with integrated document design and application development, marketers create more effective communication materials for a fictitious financial services company. A KODAK NEXPRESS 2500 digital production color press will produce personalized welcome kits for new customers. A KODAK VERSAMARK VT3000 printing system with advanced inkjet technology will print several different financial statements based on specific customer demographics. A KODAK DIGIMASTER E125 digital production system will produce key black and white print-on-demand applications such as booklets and tabbed reports with pre-printed color shells to demonstrate the productivity, quality and power of the system. Increasing Efficiency for Print Providers At AIIM ON DEMAND, Kodak will show how a KODAK Unified Workflow solution can establish a platform to improve efficiency, increase revenue and expand service offerings. KODAK Unified Workflow solutions provide an end-to-end digital infrastructure for printing that integrates business, production, and color workflows, using innovative software tools, open standards and intelligent automation. The first implementation of KODAK Unified Workflow solutions is aimed at the commercial print segment. Components of a KODAK Unified Workflow solution to be featured at AIIM ON DEMAND include: •KODAK PRINERGY workflow system, a third generation PDF workflow solution for controlling prepress, plate and film production. •KODAK InSite software, a Web portal into prepress production that makes online communication between printers and their customers a convenient reality. •New KODAK TeamWorks 2.0 software, which allows participants in the development of creative content to share, organize, review, proof, annotate, track and approve files online. •KODAK EyeMedia software for integrated asset management. •KODAK NEXTREME Web-to-Print Exchange solution, which provides an easy-to-use, web-based order management tool for automated fulfillment of static, short run, and simple-versioned print jobs. •KODAK SMARTBOARD document mastering software. •KODAK PressProof software that extends the benefits of monitor proofing to the pressroom. PressProof software employs SWOP certified KODAK MATCHPRINT Virtual Proofing software to provide accurate and consistent color guidance by displaying a proof for viewing on qualified LCD monitors. Solutions for inkjet proofing will round out Kodak’s offerings for print providers at AIIM ON DEMAND. The next generation of the KODAK VERIS digital proofer, which helps customers achieve outstanding color accuracy and proofing productivity, will be displayed. Using KODAK MULTI-DROP ARRAY inkjet imaging technology, the VERIS digital proofer serves as a premium inkjet solution for prepress professionals who need the utmost in color precision and proof accuracy. KODAK MATCHPRINT inkjet proofing solutions will also be featured. Document Imaging Providing the most productive portfolio of professional document management solutions available to businesses, organizations, government agencies, and the graphic arts industry will be spotlighted in Kodak’s booth including: •KODAK Scan Station 100, a multi-purpose walkup device for the office that enables people to easily and quickly turn paper documents into digital files—and simultaneously store them on the network and share with colleagues across the hall, across the country and around the world—through one-touch operation and without a computer. •Kodak’s check imaging solutions portfolio for image capture and transmission software and a host of support and service options for high-speed check scanning and secure archiving to help banks, businesses and government agencies take advantage of the Check 21 Act. •KODAK i30/i40 Series Scanners, small desktop workgroup scanners that fit any workspace. i30 and i40 Series Scanners provide easy setup and integration, up to 25 pages/or 50 images per minute scanning speed, and renowned image quality with Perfect Page image processing technology. •KODAK i55/i65 Series Scanners, workgroup scanners for a wide variety of document capture, publishing and archiving needs. The simplex (i55) and duplex (i65) offer color, black-and-white and grayscale imaging with outstanding image quality from Perfect Page image processing technology.
