Thursday, May 11, 2006

Press release from the issuing company

SUSSEX, Wis., May 10 -- QuadSystems, Quad/Graphics' software solutions subsidiary, has entered into a partnership agreement with Otec Solutions, a systems integration company headquartered in Toronto, Canada. This partnership will facilitate QuadSystems' expansion into the Canadian market and will allow Otec Solutions to provide its customers with PlanSystem3, a comprehensive planning, workflow, editorial and process management system that integrates marketing, production, advertising, and editorial departments with desktop applications. Steve Jaeger, Vice President of QuadSystems, says the partnership with Otec Solutions will significantly advance QuadSystems' emergence in the Canadian market. "Otec Solutions is recognized for its technical expertise in the design, installation, training and support of scalable and forward- thinking technology solutions, and PlanSystem3 is well aligned with its product offerings. Together, we'll be able to offer our Canadian clients an innovative workflow management software solution," Mr. Jaeger says. PlanSystem3 is designed to provide users with real-time content/asset management, edition/product planning, deadline and status monitoring and element tracking of all files in production at catalogs, advertising agencies and magazine publishers. "Because it promotes a collaborative, organized workflow by providing everyone with real-time, graphic displays of the entire work-in-process, our clients can expect to see improvements in all areas and with virtually every employee," Mr. Jaeger says. "We're very excited about the potential this partnership has to benefit our clients in the Prepress, Creative and Publishing industries," says Don Hoy, president of Otec Systems. "We were attracted to PlanSystem3 because we've identified a significant need among our publishing clients for a tool that will improve productivity and efficiency. PlanSystem3 provides a collaborative, organized workflow for these clients by managing both the assets themselves as well as the workflow associated with graphics production tools," Mr. Hoy explains.
