Oce Innovations at IRgA Help Reprographers Control Print

Press release from the issuing company

CHICAGO, May 9 -- Oce, a global leader in digital document management and delivery solutions, will be unveiling its newest color and monochrome printing solutions, cut-sheet systems and innovative workflow technology in Booth #401 at the IRgA 2006 Annual Convention and Trade Show opening tomorrow in Orlando, FL. All solutions are part of Oce's concerted effort to help their reprographic customers control printing within their shops and for their customers. Establishing a bold move into large format color, Oce will unveil three new color printing systems: the Oce TCS300 and Oce TCS500 that take CAD and GIS printing to the next level and the Oce CS9065, which gives graphics users a high speed, dual-ink print system for producing high quality, outdoor durable graphics. Oce also will demonstrate its continued commitment to outstanding monochrome offerings by showcasing two new black-and-white large format systems: the Oce TDS320 and Oce TDS450. Advancements in the cut-sheet, narrow format arena are supported by the Oce CPS900 color print system and the Oce VarioPrint 2110 monochrome production system. Finally, Oce will highlight its new innovative workflow automation software, Oce Repro Desk Professional software, and show the extremely productive, high volume system, the Oce TDS800 Pro Series, the popular print/copy/scan system that is dedicated to enhancing reprographic productivity and profitability. "Our commitment to innovate printing and workflow solutions is unmatched in the industry," said Sal Sheikh, Vice President, Marketing, Oce Wide Format Printing Systems division of Oce North America. "We are focused on delivering cutting-edge printing solutions that perfectly match our customers' evolving business needs. These solutions address the areas of growing color print business for CAD, GIS and graphics; best-in-class technology for large format monochrome printing for both FM and reproduction needs; and software that connects AEC customers to the reprographic print shop. The launch of many new robust products at IRgA puts the power of speed, quality and workflow enhancements right at our customers' fingertips." Three Printing Systems Address Rapid Growth of Color The three most recent additions to Oce's range of color printing systems are designed to deliver unmatched speed, efficiency and convenience -- plus the quality and reliability for which Oce is known. These solutions address the ever-growing demands for color in engineering, CAD and GIS applications and provide outdoor graphics users with production speed and the convenience to place the printer in any environment. Oce TCS300 This new large format inkjet color printer is aimed at eliminating wait times and streamlining document output. With up to three times the color speed of other competitive inkjet printers on the market plus the ease of operation that decentralized users need, the Oce TCS300 delivers an affordable solution well suited for a broad range of users seeking to meet increasing demands for large format color and monochrome CAD documents. Oce TCS500 As the successor to the proven Oce TCS400, this integrated print/copy/scan system optimizes print speed and quality and harnesses the power of concurrent processing to make it the fastest, most productive large format, color CAD print system on the market. The system is ideal for handling quantities of large format technical documents such as detailed CAD line drawings and complex GIS files as well as other color technical documents. Oce CS9065 This high quality, production speed printer uses either low-solvent or eco-solvent inks to create outdoor-durable prints. Users find flexibility in where the unit can be operated (i.e. light industrial, print shop or office environments) through its dual-ink capability. The Oce CS9065 is perfect for short run print jobs and is designed for light to mid volume production environments where high quality output and outdoor durability are required. Large Format Monochrome Offerings Promote Productivity and Workflow Two recently introduced systems from Oce as well as the industry's leading production system further extend the selection of large format systems for monochrome engineering and CAD documents. Each system complements the already extensive range of Oce large format systems to handle all print volume needs. These products effectively meet users' needs for high quality engineering and CAD document output and enterprise-wide workflow management. Oce TDS320 The Oce TDS320 is an economical, entry-level solution for large format print, copy and scan needs. The multifunction system delivers outstanding image quality and true reliability, while keeping time-consuming operator interaction to a minimum. The system is ideally suited for smaller engineering and architecture firms as well as department workgroups. Oce TDS450 This large format, multifunction system masters users' demands for outstanding monochrome quality and productivity plus adds the flexibility of optional color scanning. The innovative Oce Direct Scan optical system gives breakthrough levels of image quality and reliability. Its highly intuitive nature and fully customizable interface make the Oce TDS450 easy to integrate and offers effective workgroup printing of black-and-white documents. Oce TDS800 Pro Series This highly configurable, integrated printing, copying and scanning system is the industry's leading large format technical document production solution. The TDS800 Pro Series is ideally designed to meet dynamic workflow requirements of any mid-to high-volume large format printing environment. This intuitive system offers users a range of software options for optimized workflow, including Oce Repro Desk Professional software for reprographers and AEC users. Two Robust Systems Advance Narrow Format, Cut-Sheet Technology Two versatile cut-sheet systems give reprographers the ability handle a wider variety of output with continued high image quality. Oce VarioPrint 2110 With just one system, print-for-pay shops can produce a broad range of applications. Based on Oce Copy Press technology, the Oce VarioPrint 2110 delivers outstanding image quality as well as the ability to print on multiple types of substrates. Workflow is enhanced through automated front-end tasks, while innovative software advancements bring hard copy jobs into digital workflow. Oce CPS 900 This digital color printer gives reprographic shops the ability to capture business opportunities that were previously unavailable. The Oce CPS900 delivers consistently high quality output and speed on a variety of media and substrate types. This output remains amazingly consistent, without calibration, from page to page, job to job and even machine to machine. New Software Solution Delivers Effective Workflow Automation An innovative print software solution further underscores Oce's dedication to delivering tools that enable professional users to streamline their digital workflows. Oce Repro Desk Professional Software This innovative print automation software is built on the latest Microsoft .NET-connected technology. The new Oce Repro Desk Professional consists of a suite of seamlessly integrated applications that takes reprographers to the next level by connecting a CAD designer's desktop to a reprographer's digital print room -- creating a true end-to-end digital workflow. It not only makes it easier for end users to send documents to their reprographer, it also gives the reprographer many tools to enhance the productivity of his business.
