GMG announces expansion of GMG Americas operations in the US

Norwell, MA, USA (May 1, 2006) - With rapid business growth in the US, and the mounting sales in color management solutions, GMG Americas, the US office of GMG, a Germany-based company specializing in high-end color management and proofing solutions, announces an expansion in its US and Americas operations to provide greater customer and reseller support. The company is putting in place additional staffing in training, technical support and operations/logistics, while assuming responsibility for all reseller support in-house. Additionally, the company has launched a new technical support service offering, GMG ColorSupport. GMG's customer base has expanded significantly over the past two years. Earlier this year GMG reported that sales in the Americas doubled in 2005. Sales in 2006 are continuing to increase at a rapid pace. In addition to expanded sales, GMG products have extended from proofing to revolutionary color management solutions that operate intimately within complete workflow systems. Jawdatt Mawassii, GMG vice president, sales and business development worldwide, remarks, "To ensure consistent, high quality support for GMG customers and resellers, GMG Americas is providing direct representation and contact from its US headquarters. GMG ColorSupport GMG is announcing a new customer support program, GMG ColorSupport, a service delivered directly by GMG Americas' technical services staff of experienced color publishing professionals. Customers deal with technicians certified by GMG to the highest support standards, via telephone, e-mail, fax, or WebEx for live assistance directly on their systems. For an annual fee, GMG's staff promptly resolves issues with any of the following GMG products: GMG ColorProof, GMG DotProof, GMG FlexoProof, GMG ColorServer, or GMG ProofControl. GMG ColorSupport is delivered in a number of ways: - Phone support from GMG Americas headquarters - Email support, where any message sent to [email protected] automatically creates a support ticket and can be tracked on the ColorSupport webpage. - Web access - A unique support login www.gmgcolorsupport.com, where support tickets may be opened, checked for status, and are answered by a GMG Americas support technician. - WebEx sessions - Interactive WebEx support is available for GMG to remotely access, troubleshoot and resolve issues directly on a computer. "Although many associate GMG solely with proofing solutions and RIPs that drive inkjet printers, additional products such as GMG ColorServer and GMG InkOptimizer are tightly integrated into graphics workflows for the entire supply chain, including content originators, designers, prepress tradeshops, and printers. We made an assessment that we needed to provide more resources to coordinate and support products like ColorServer," comments Jim Summers, president of GMG Americas.
