Press release from the issuing company

TORONTO, Ont. May 1, 2006 - Avanti Computer Systems today announced that it has acquired Parsec of Denver, Colorado. The acquisition will bring together two of the print industry's leading providers of business management software resulting in a combined customer base of over 750 installations. "Parsec has been in business since 1983 and has a solid reputation among its very impressive customer base", noted Patrick Bolan, President and CEO of Avanti. "Our new larger company with more resources will be in a better position to respond to an ever-changing industry, providing the best possible service to all of our customers". In an effort to make this transaction as seamless as possible for Parsec customers, all current Parsec employees will become members of the Avanti team. "We want all our customers to know that Avanti and Parsec will continue to develop and support our full suite of software products for the printing industry. The resources that our customers depend on, such as technical support professionals and the development team, remain in place as we move forward," said Mr. Bolan. "Given the proven track record of Avanti and Parsec for growth and innovation in the industry, we know that our combined forces will provide even better products and support for our customers as we leverage the technical expertise of both companies." Steve Hallberg, president of Parsec, commented "We've been impressed by the incredible loyalty of Avanti's customers and business partners, and we're convinced our customers will continue to receive excellent service while taking advantage of Avanti's expertise in demand print and web-to-print technologies." This transaction continues the momentum that Avanti has experienced over the past eighteen months including its most successful year financially in the 22 years that it has been in business.
