RR Donnelley Printing Operations Awarded Renewed OSHA VPP Star Certification

Press release from the issuing company

CHICAGO, April 28 -- R.R. Donnelley & Sons Company today announced that its Roanoke, Virginia and Senatobia, Mississippi production facilities have been recertified with Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) Star Status by the Federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). RR Donnelley plants in Lynchburg, Virginia and Reno, Nevada are also certified as VPP Star facilities. Star certifications, the highest OSHA grants, promote effective worksite safety and health by establishing cooperative relationships between OSHA and facilities that have implemented comprehensive safety and health management systems. These RR Donnelley facilities continue to maintain injury and illness rates that are well below the national average for the printing industry. "Achieving VPP Star recertification status requires a committed management team, an engaged workforce and continuous improvement. This important recertification is another measure of the high caliber of our employees and of the distinctive quality of our operations," said John Paloian, Group President, Publishing and Retail Services. Michael Manzella, Vice President, Corporate Environmental, Health and Safety, added, "Star Status recognizes RR Donnelley's active commitment to safe work practices. We are especially pleased that several of our processes have been recognized as best-practices by the VPP OSHA team."
