UniGraphc Earns Pine Dedication to Education Award

Press release from the issuing company

SOUTHBOROUGH, Mass. (Oct. 18, 2007) - UniGraphic, a company which over the last decade has transformed itself from a singularly-focused prepress service bureau to a multi-dimensional graphic communications provider with expertise in many forms of print reproduction, is the 2007 recipient of Printing Industries of New England's Dedication to Education Award.
The award is presented to a PINE member that has demonstrated an ongoing commitment over the past year to training and professional development for staff members. The Education Award is sponsored by Adobe.
The Dedication to Education Award is one of several awards to be presented at PINE's annual Industry Awards Gala, scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 1 at the Sheraton Framingham Hotel in Framingham, Mass.
A leading example for New England's print service marketplace
"UniGraphic is the epitome of a progressive print service provider in one of the leading print marketplaces in the country," said PINE President Jim Tepper. "President and owner Bob Quinlan and his team, including his brothers Mike and Jack Quinlan, have expanded the range of services that they offer. When Bob purchased the company in 2000 after working as a sales rep there for 18 years, UniGraphic was known in the Boston market as a fine high-end prepress service bureau. Bob set out to change that, and clearly he is succeeding in that mission.
"In a span of less than six years, the Quinlans have invested in wide format printing capability, developed a thriving in-house digital reproduction business using both toner-based equipment and direct imaging technology, they've become experts at variable data printing campaigns, they've boosted their sheetfed printing technology, and more, all without diminishing the prepress service work to agencies that remains the core of their business," Tepper said. "And through those investments, they've grown annual sales tremendously.
"Along the way UniGraphic's executive leadership has continuously made the greatest investment - making sure their staff gets the training and development they need to be successful in their endeavors," Tepper said.
"From attending sales training programs, cost estimating classes, updates on changes in postal regulations and mailing costs, UniGraphic has led the way throughout the past year in availing themselves of training and development opportunities," the PINE president said. "For those reasons, we're proud to acknowledge those achievements."
