EDSF Announces 2006 Excellence in Education and Educator of the Year Awards

The 2006 EDSF Excellence in Education Award recipients will be recognized for their dedication to the document management and communications industry at the EDSF Industry Leaders' Luncheon in Philadelphia during the AIIM and ON DEMAND Expos on May 16th at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. Santos, Lead Instructor, Imaging Sciences and Technology Academy, Manual Arts High School, Los Angeles, Calif. Santos is the co-founder of the "Viva Technology" program, a nationally renowned program to educate and motivate K-12 students to consider careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Excellence in Education Awards The Excellence in Education Award honors worldwide academic institutions and professional organizations for their educational and innovative efforts relating to the document management and communications industry. Recipients address industry issues, reflect state-of-the art technology and benefit the industry through their programs. The program-focused approach combines practice, theory, history and work experience with the intent to provide students with a strong foundation in design and production methods.
