Unisource Canada announces the first showing of the MGI Meteor DP40 Pro Digital Press in Canada

Melbourne, FL-- Unisource expands its line of digital printing products with the introduction of the MGI Meteor DP40 Pro press. This production digital press will be showcased for the first time in Canada at the Grafik ‘Art trade show in Laval, Quebec, April 27-30th, 2006.Unisource was recently appointed as the exclusive Canadian distributor of MGI Digital Presses, Finishing & Converting solutions for Paper/Plastic and related consumables. The Meteor DP 40 Pro, a multi substrate digital press for Paper and Plastic substrates has the ability to switch from Paper to Plastic within seconds. It prints at a resolution of 1800 dpi/200 LPI and is capable of full Variable Data printing. From Post Card to Poster, the DP 40 Pro prints 1,050 4-Colour, 12 ¼” x 18” sheets and 2,100 4-Colour or 2,700 Monochrome 8 ½ “x 11” size sheets per hour. When printing on Plastic the DP 40 Pro has the ability to produce 21,000+ PVC ISO CR-80 cards (credit card format) per hour (4-Color/21 up). The Meteor DP 40 Pro is very aggressively priced in terms of total cost of ownership and cost of production, and does not have any click charges. The new Meteor DP40 Pro prints photo quality images on a large variety of paper and plastic substrates, ideal for brochures, business cards, letterhead, postcards, data sheets, envelopes, posters as well as Plastic ID or Membership, Gift cards, Controlled Access & Security cards, Loyalty cards, Smart cards from magnetic stripe to RFID etc... MGI's Meteor DP 40 Pro will be demonstrated live at Unisource Canada, Inc's booth #441 at the Grafik ‘Art trade show at the Centre Foranzi in Laval, Quebec, April 27, 28 and 29th, 2006.
