Lexmark recognized for innovative technology, wins three BERTL's Best awards

LEXINGTON, Ky., May 31 -- BERTL, a leading independent test lab, has awarded Lexmark International, Inc. three prestigious 2006 BERTL's Best Office Awards. Lexmark's entire monochrome laser lineup was recognized for Best Monochrome Printer Range. In addition, the Lexmark X646dte was named Best Executive Office Monochrome Multifunction Printer (MFP), and the Lexmark X854e was recognized for Best 50 to 59 pages per minute (ppm) Monochrome Office MFP. Lexmark's monochrome laser printer line offers something for everyone. It ranges from the Lexmark E120n, a networked laser printer for $149* featuring speeds up to 20 ppm for small and home office users, up to the Lexmark W840 series with fast performance up to 50 ppm and extensive paper handling capabilities, including wide-format support, for large, enterprise workgroups. "In a world that is ever more diverse and pressed for time, Lexmark delivers a range of monochrome printing solutions that its competitors are still aiming for, and continues to set the bar for print innovation," BERTL said. The Lexmark X646dte features a large eight-inch vivid color touchscreen interface that can be customized to simplify complicated business processes at the touch of an icon. It offers fast speeds up to 50 ppm as well as duplexing and 1,100 sheets of standard input for an estimated street price of $3,449*. "It is this combination of functionality, ease of use, and aggressive pricing that makes the Lexmark X646dte such an attractive proposition," BERTL said. The Lexmark X854e features the same color touchscreen interface as the Lexmark X646dte and the same advanced functionality such as scan preview, custom jobs and job cancel to increase user productivity. The Lexmark X854e prints as fast as 55 ppm and includes 3,100 sheets of standard input with standard duplexing and an optional finisher for stapling and hole-punching for an estimated street price of $11,099*. Both MFPs include a convenient USB port on the operator panel that allows users to print PDF and images from or scan to a USB storage device.
