Muller Martini Frontero front cut trimmer now also handles products up to 19-5/16" in spine length

Press release from the issuing company

Hauppauge, New York – Since its launch at DRUPA 04, the Muller Martini Frontero front cut trimmer has been installed in more than 50 locations around the world. The Frontero can cost-effectively produce gatefolded brochures, up to 2-7/16” in product thickness, in a single pass. Now, the Frontero can also handle spine lengths up to 19-5/16” – enabling an even wider range of products to be processed in two-up productions. The Frontero provides: - Highest capacity, up to 6,000 cycles per hour - A wide size range, with product thicknesses up to 2-7/16” and landscape sizes up to A4 - Processing of two-up products up to 19-5/16” spine length - High trim quality, thanks to swing cut against cutting sticks - Fine corrections on the fly - The capability for retrofitting into existing adhesive binding lines Patented functional design The Frontero’s design principle is simple: The cover is retracted by suckers and the book block is pressed with a bar. The front cut is then completed. Next, the cover is released and it glides back to its original position. Furthermore, because the upper and lower sucker bars can be switched on and off separately, products with only one flap – front or rear – can also be produced.
