Oce Maintains Leadership in Continuous Feed Market Share in US

Press release from the issuing company

BOCA RATON, Fla., May 10 -- Oce, a global leader in digital document management and delivery solutions, announces that it continues as the US market share leader in continuous feed printers, according to recently released InfoTrends data. The new InfoTrends "2004-2005 U.S. Production Copying & Printing Placements: Summary and Trends" report includes market share statistics that place Oce in the front position for the 80+ ppm roll fed segment for 2005 shipments. Oce continues to lead the segment with 41 percent of the 2005 market share of roll-fed printer placements in the United States. The company also held the top spot in 2004 and 2003, the first year that InfoTrends began tracking market share for this category. "Oce has held the top position in the combined U.S. monochrome and spot color production roll-fed market since we began publishing market share in 2003, and this latest data shows they continue to lead this category, as they have since we first started tracking the segment in the late 1990s," said Charlie Corr, group director, InfoTrends. "The recent InfoTrends data validates our reputation for reliable and high-quality continuous-feed printers backed up by best in class service and support," said Mal Baboyian, President, Digital Document Systems, Oce North America. He credited the success to the company's focus on achieving a high level of customer satisfaction and a commitment to continuous innovation. "When we are successful in achieving these two goals, it translates into results like those captured in the InfoTrends market share report." The data provides a placement summary for 2004 and 2005 for the on demand, data processing and production copying markets, segments where Oce has strongly focused efforts on innovative product offerings that help customers achieve breakthrough business results. Oce has pioneered technology for the ultra high-volume printing industry with the result being greater productivity and efficiency for customers. Recently introduced at the Oce Open House, innovative concepts like the new Oce Gemini Instant Duplex technology for the new Oce VarioPrint 6250 and the Oce VarioStream 9230 3/3 highlight color printer are being presented to the US market for the first time at the On Demand conference. Other groundbreaking results like duplex printing on a twin engine, CustomTone Special toner colors, and Oce PRISMA(TM) workflow software for production workflow have helped establish Oce as a market leader.
