New features in Jaws PDF Editor 3.0 include: - All new PDF forms-fill capabilities providing users with the ability to fill, edit, save and print data in form fields within PDF files. - The import and export of FDF-based (Forms Data Format) forms data, allowing efficient processing of field data without having to send the original PDF form, so reducing band width requirements when sending data from forms that have been filled. - The ability to perform in-field form calculations through support for JavaScript level 1, providing fast, automated document intelligence to calculate field values. - Support for opening and displaying PDF 1.5 files. Operations that are supported include: opening, printing, displaying, annotating, saving, merging, page manipulation and bookmark manipulation. Jaws PDF Editor v.3.0 builds on a range of already powerful functions including: View, navigate and print PDF files: Jaws PDF Editor allows users to open, view and print PDF files. Navigation options include the use of bookmarks, a page view of the document for thumbnail-driven navigation, or the use of document hyperlinks. By using Jaws PDF Editor as the default PDF viewer in Internet Explorer, users can also use the editing tools when viewing PDF files from the web. Page manipulation tools: PDF pages can be easily inserted, extracted, deleted, rotated, and re-ordered using Jaws PDF Editor. Bookmarks can be created or edited for easy page navigation and a Finish Document Wizard gives users a clear step-by-step guide to producing a final PDF file. Annotate with comments: Built-in, powerful commenting capabilities power the use of PDF in workflows. Review and approval become quick and easy by creating and saving comments directly in the PDF file where users can add "sticky note" comments or highlight, strikeout and underline text. All comment types optionally have a pop-up comment window into which users can type additional information. Comments can be imported and exported and users can list and sort by caption, type, date or page to check and change properties, as well as hide comments. Security: Confidential or sensitive business documents often require restricted user access. Jaws PDF Editor allows users to restrict document features such as print, annotating, editing and copying text. Access can also be limited or restricted by assigning ‘document’ and ‘file open’ passwords.
