BOWE BELL + HOWELL to offer business continuity services

Press release from the issuing company

Wheeling, Ill., April 17, 2006 – BOWE BELL + HOWELL, a leading provider of document processing and postal solutions, announces the expansion of its service offerings and the opening of a facility dedicated to supporting business continuity services in Bethlehem, Pa. “The inclusion of business continuity into our service portfolio is an important step in strategically supporting a growing industry need,” commented John Tarascio, executive vice president for North American service operations. “The investment into this facility is testament to our commitment to provide customers with services that maintain their business operations should the unexpected occur.” The offering encompasses a disaster recovery and overcapacity partnership solution for customers. From print to postage, business continuity services incorporate operational support for printing, inserting and sorting needs. Through the development of a strategic business continuity project plan, BÖWE BELL + HOWELL is prepared to mirror customer operations with the same precision and attention to detail the customer employs. Whether a natural disaster or an overflow situation arises, customers with a business continuity service agreement will have the ability to transition their operations to the 62,000-square-foot facility in Bethlehem within a matter of hours. BÖWE BELL + HOWELL will continue the customer’s operations according to project plan, eventually reinstating operations at the customer facility when feasible. “Our customers came to us expressing their need for a non-competitive alternative for business continuity services. The last thing a company wants to do is give its business to a competitor when a situation arises. This solution allows BÖWE BELL + HOWELL to further its existing partnership, while providing the customer with peace of mind that their business is supported,” said Mike Nagle, general manager for business continuity services.
