Canon U.S.A. Expands Its Line of Speciality Media with the Introduction of Its First 100 Percent Recycled Paper

LAKE SUCCESS, N.Y.--April 17, 2006-- Canon U.S.A., Inc., the nation's market share brand leader in black-and-white and color laser printer/copier solutions, today introduced its first 100 percent recycled paper offering - the Genuine Color Awareness, 100 percent Recycled Paper. Joining Canon's family of Specialty Print Media offerings, the Genuine Color Awareness Paper, 100 Percent Recycled, is a 28 lb. Bond with 105 gsm and 92 percent Brightness, and will come in three sizes (Letter Size 8.5-inch x 11-inch; Ledger Size 11-inch x 17-inch; and Full-Bleed Size 18-inch x 12-inch). Other Canon Recycled Papers in the product line include the Genuine Awareness Paper, 20 lb. Bond/30 percent Post Consumer Content, and the Genuine Color Awareness Paper, 24 lb. Bond/30 percent Post Consumer Content. "More and more government and corporate organizations are demanding recycled and post-consumer content papers," said Tod Pike, senior vice president, Imaging Systems Group, Canon U.S.A., Inc. "Using Canon-branded Specialty Print Media, like this new recycled paper offering, with our Canon copiers and MFPs will result in consistent product performance and superior image quality." In addition to the Recycled Paper offerings, Canon has nearly 200 different Specialty Print Media SKUs that are compatible with Canon Color and Black & White imageRUNNER devices, as well as its CLCs and Wide-Format printers.
