Print Oasis 2006 Print Buyers Conference & Exhibit Hits Big Success in Las Vegas

Press release from the issuing company

ARLINGTON, Va. (April 14, 2006) — The fifth annual Print Oasis Print Buyers Conference & Exhibit held in Las Vegas last week, one of the most exciting venues in the country, was the largest and most successful yet. Nearly 500 industry professionals, including over 250 print buyers attended the conference, held Sunday, April 2nd through Wednesday, April 5th at The Venetian Hotel, Resort, and Casino. “This conference continues to grow and expand each year and we’re very proud of its continued success,” said Suzanne Morgan, president and founder of Print Buyers Online.com and PCPI, hosts of the annual event. “Print buyers are often overlooked and this conference presents them with the resources, information and camaraderie that they are seeking. Print Oasis is a valuable opportunity for major print media buyers to gather information on new trends and technologies and to learn from their peers. It’s also an opportunity for manufacturers, printers and other suppliers to demonstrate their products and services to this very specialized group.” Print Oasis 2006 Print Buyers Conference & Exhibit is the only independent conference focused on the needs and challenges of print buyers, specifiers and production professionals. This year, the conference featured more than 55 exhibitors – including printers, proofing companies, major technology firms and paper manufacturers. For the first time this year, over twelve compelling mini-educational sessions were conducted in the Exhibit Hall providing attendees with a fun way to quickly learn the tricks of the trade. “Print Oasis just keeps getting better. This was our 5th year exhibiting and things really clicked. The quality of attendees was, as usual, terrific and the quantity (while never enough) was busy enough to have me meeting new people continuously the entire conference. The formula for the exhibits this year was great, plenty of traffic and positive happy attendees. The buyer panels were terrific!” said Caleb Tower, President of P3 Software, Inc. Print Oasis 2006 featured more than 25 educational seminars, breakout sessions and panel discussions. Conference attendees were welcomed with a festive Opening Gala/Hat Party and enjoyed exciting networking events held at the Canaletto Italian restaurant sponsored by EarthColor and Madame Tussauds Wax Museum experience sponsored by Xerox Corporation. Conference attendee, Kendra White, Production Manager with Mercury Advertising shared, “This was an excellent conference with a wide variety of topics, participants, and forums for discussions and learning. I highly recommend this conference for anyone who purchases print or works closely with print vendors and buyers.” Conference attendee, Lynn Endicott, Print Project Manager with NCH Corporation concurs, “Print Oasis is a worthwhile investment for any professional print buyer. The knowledge I gained and opportunities to network with others in our industry were invaluable. It was refreshing to come to the realization that other buyers have some of the same issues that I face. Additionally, it was informative to compare the subtle day-to-day differences that buyers in various industries face. Come join me at Print Oasis 2007 and see for yourself!” In addition to hosting the annual Print Oasis Print Buyers Conference & Exhibit, Print Buyers Online.com offers free tools and resources to print buyers and others working in the industry, including expert advice, articles, tips and answers to member questions as well as the latest news and updates from around the industry.
