Press release from the issuing company

April 3, 2006 (Arlington, VA) – Group Logic, the leading provider of enterprise file transfer and Mac/Windows connectivity solutions, today announced the availability of MassTransit 5.0, bringing customers a proven enterprise-class file transfer solution architected to meet the most demanding business requirements, support the largest files, and deliver the highest performance and reliability. Building on the strengths of the award-winning MassTransit file transfer solution, version 5.0 offers a highly scalable three-tier architecture that combines the performance, scalability and reliability of the MySQL database with a separate MassTransit protocol file transfer engine and a stand-alone administration client. MassTransit 5.0 ensures that organizations' file transfer workflows can handle the most demanding loads without interruption. “With the new architecture and more than 50 enhancements, MassTransit 5.0, is the most powerful solution for simplifying the exchange of digital files,” said Mike Otto, IT Manager, The Scan Group, Inc. “MassTransit has already proven itself as a superior solution and we expect the latest version to improve our competitive edge, compress time-to-market and eliminate costs.” MassTransit 5.0 extends visibility into the entire file transfer process through an enhanced web-based log interface. Easy-to-access, web-based logs allow registered users both within and outside the organization to quickly search the product's log to find detailed information regarding file transfers so they can ensure business objectives are achieved. Two of the product's 50 new features, previously only available on the Mac, are a built-in FTP server and an automated FTP client on Windows. Utilizing these tools, customers can now offer remote users with FTP clients many of the benefits of MassTransit without requiring a client upgrade. In addition, customers can consolidate FTP and MassTransit protocol communications to a single solution minimizing cost and complexity and enhancing their FTP-based business processes through MassTransit's powerful notification, logging, automation and security features. “MassTransit is trusted by organizations across the globe to handle their high volume, mission-critical file transfers,” said Andy Lewis, General Manager, MassTransit, Group Logic. “MassTransit 5.0's powerful, scalable new architecture enables customers to continue to depend on it in the face of rapidly increasing volumes of file transfer. Plus, the across the board enhancements reinforce its position as the best-in-class file transfer solution on the market today.”
