Press release from the issuing company

BIRMINGHAM, U.K., April 4 -- The IPEX Daily newspaper will employ KODAK solutions, from image capture and workflow to proofing and output, to drive creation of the publication during the show. IPEX Daily production, including the workflow, will occur entirely on site at the exhibition in Hall 5. “Just like any other daily newspaper, the IPEX Daily anchors its success on delivering valuable information via a top quality publication against hard and fast deadlines,” said Israel Sandler, Vice President and Managing Director of Kodak's Graphic Communications Group, Europe, Africa and Middle East Region. “We're excited to show IPEX attendees how our portfolio of solutions work together to maximize efficiency and ultimately drive growth.” Kodak will provide a complete prepress solution for the IPEX Daily, including a KODAK PRINERGY workflow system, spanning image capture via KODAK digital cameras to monitor and inkjet proofing, and plate production. The newspaper will be printed using KODAK THERMAL DIRECT non process printing plates imaged on a KODAK TRENDSETTER 800 II QUANTUM platesetter. Other KODAK products involved in the production of the IPEX Daily include the KODAK MATCHPRINT Inkjet proofing solution with KODAK PROFILE WIZARD Mio color management software, a KODAK EVERSMART Supreme II scanner, KODAK InSite software and the KODAK PressProof monitor proofing software. Publishers of the IPEX Daily will also use KODAK PREPS imposition software, KODAK Prepare software and KODAK STACCATO screening software. Kodak will display all solutions used to produce the IPEX Daily in booth D70 in Hall 5.
