Group 1 Software's CODE-1 Plus and Finalist Receive United States Postal Service CASS Certifications

LANHAM, Md., April 3 -- Group 1 Software, Inc. a Pitney Bowes Company today announced the general availability of the latest release of CODE-1 Plus 3.0 and FINALIST 7.8 CASS(TM) certified address correction solutions. All products help enable organizations to cleanse and standardize addresses and assign 11-digit barcodes to mail pieces in compliance with the USPS. Many of the world's largest postal operations use CODE-1 Plus and Finalist to improve the way postal authorities and commercial mailers handle, process, and deliver mail, enabling mailers to obtain postage discounts in the United States. Group 1's multiple product releases meet the latest United States Postal Service CASS (USPS Certification Process for ZIP+4 matching process) requirements scheduled to go into effect August 1, 2006. In addition to CASS certification, CODE-1 Plus and Finalist address a number of improvements that will benefit Group 1 customers, support for the USPS 4-state barcode OneCode(TM) initiative.
