New York Metro Area AGC Announces Graphics Advantage Event

Press release from the issuing company

NEW YORK, NY, March 28, 2006 -- Printers, designers, marketing professionals and anyone whose business revolves around graphic communications are faced with new career and business challenges every day. Successfully competing within the current regional and global economy is harder than ever. While technology offers exciting opportunities, managers, print buyers, designers, and owners know that it does not provide the complete solution. Knowing how to identify new resources, how and why to select a new technology to incorporate into a business plan and how to train staff to realize the new efficiencies is what gives companies and ultimately clients THE GRAPHICS ADVANTAGE. As a result of the growing need in the industry for education on the wide variety of new technologies available, AGC has created an event to provide for members and non-members alike a forum in which they may learn, network and exchange ideas relevant to a graphic communication company’s immediate business concerns. The program will be held at the Xerox Campus on Long Island, 105 Froehlich Farm Blvd., Woodbury, NY. Refreshments and hors d’oeuvres will be served. AGC recognizes that graphic communication companies have severe time constraints and, while learning new technologies and techniques is important, business comes first. That is why AGC is offering a series of seminars, panels and networking events from 2 PM until 8 PM – AGC is committed to working around your schedule. Select from courses geared towards management and sales or towards graphic designers who want to learn the latest technology. Offerings include: •Innovations in Binding and Finishing that Printers and their Clients Love •Binding and Finishing Techniques that Designers Love •QuarkXPress 7 for Designers •10 Secrets To Improving Your Direct Mail Responses •A Panel’s Discussion on Surviving the Digital Leap Pricing for the event is $60 for members and $75 for non-members. There is an in-tandem discount of $10 for each additional registrant (up to 4 additionals) when registering at the same time. All tickets are good for every seminar offered, as well as for the networking event. Non-members who join AGC on the day of the event will receive free admittance.
