Birmingham, England - April 4th to April 11th 2006 - Serendipity Software will be showcasing the latest innovations at Ipex 2006 on their stand A33 in Hall 9. Centre stage will be Serendipity Blackmagic V3.2 running on a Apple Mac G5 showing Press Ready Softproofing technology on a 30 inch display. Full press pages can be checked on screen for data integrity and colour matching prior to press. Press operators can use the SoftProof as match for the final output. Fully imposed pages can be de-imposed to produce a book on a duplex printer, as a PDF or as a QuickTime movie. All popular imposition packages are supported allowing the user to import the signatures quickly and efficiently. Colour management is done through industry standard ICC and the latest version supports V4.2 ICC and device link profiles. The powerful SoftProof application allows the user to change plates, zoom, crop and submit, all in high res. Paper background and digital blue lines are easily displayed on the fly. Signatures can be overlaid on the image for positional and page checking. Industry first “reverse page viewing” allows the back page to be viewed through the top page for inking and alignment checks. The user can vary the transparency of this show through page. Serendipity Clustering technology means that proofing is no longer the bottleneck is once was. Jobs can be shared across the network and processed on other machines called Slaves which are managed easily and seamlessly by the Master. Serendipity Clients can be run on any machine on the network for easy monitoring and administration. These can be local or remote. Also on show will be Serendipity Megarip which is ideally suited for Sign and Poster display market. A fast RIP supporting PDF, PS, TIFF and Jpeg with direct output to most wide format devices. Features such as the ability to nest jobs onto a single sheet and the same powerful SoftProof used in Serendipity Blackmagic make this an unbeatable product. Finally on show is Serendipity Screenprint which produces film separations from inkjet devices for the screen printing industry. This has all the same features as Serendipity Megarip, including the ability to screen 8 special plates at different angles.
