BOWE BELL + HOWELL to introduce WayMark high-speed weight verification tool at National Postal Forum

Press release from the issuing company

Orlando, Fla., March 23, 2006 – With the cost of different postage payment methods a hot topic among high-volume mailers, attendees of the 2006 National Postal Forum at the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center, April 2 to April 5 in Kissimmee, Fla., will be looking for solutions to help them save time and money in a meter-less environment. To help mailers fully realize the benefits of alternative postage payment options, BÖWE BELL + HOWELL will feature its new WayMarkTM weight verification and management system, along with a full line of postal solutions products and services, in booth #602. WayMark allows mailers to easily submit mailings without the use of a postage meter. This in-line weight verification system verifies the weight of every mailpiece and calculates the correct postage in one easy process. By adding this module to BÖWE BELL + HOWELL’s high-speed Criterion sorting system, mailers can not only eliminate costly estimation errors, but also improve productivity and throughput. The WayMark system also provides the option of indicia permit printing in-line. Permits are designed based on U.S. Postal Service Domestic Mail Manual criteria. The system enables variable information such as mailing dates to be printed “on the fly” with different attributes by customer mailstream. “We are very excited by the improved efficiency and cost management that our new WayMark system provides for our customers,” said Mike Swift, president and general manager of BÖWE BELL + HOWELL’s Postal and Sorting Products Division. “Our feedback from customers has been that this new solution offers tremendous opportunities to improve productivity and reduce mailing costs.” In addition to debuting WayMark, BÖWE BELL + HOWELL’s booth will showcase its diverse line of sorting, inserting, service and software solutions.
