NUR Macroprinters begins commercial shipments of NUR Expedio 3200 wide-format UV inkjet press

Press release from the issuing company

Lod, Israel; March 22, 2006 — NUR Macroprinters, a leading supplier of wide-format inkjet production printing systems for the out-of-home advertising market, today announced that it has successfully completed beta testing of the new NUR Expedio 3200 wide-format UV inkjet press. Worldwide commercial shipments of the new machine are set to begin on March 31, 2006. Capable of output to 10.5-feet (3.2m) wide, the new NUR Expedio 3200 joins the 16-foot (5m) superwide NUR Expedio 5000 in the company’s product line-up. The NUR Expedio models are roll-fed wide-format inkjet presses equipped with UV-curable inks that provide environmentally friendly operation and media versatility — supporting both coated and uncoated substrates — for low operating costs and higher profit margins. NUR Expedio 3200 is equipped with NUR’s new PrinTop II software that offers ease of operation and supports the higher throughput speeds that production print service providers require. The machine offers both 4- and 8-color printing modes with easy changeover between modes. It is designed for printing a wide range of indoor and outdoor wide-format applications at resolutions up to 720 dpi and at speeds up to 1,300 square feet (120 square meters) per hour. “UV inkjet printing offers our customers advantages they cannot afford to ignore,” says David Reis, president and CEO of NUR Macroprinters Ltd., “because it addresses their increasing environmental concerns and their desire for full media flexibility compared to solvent ink printing.” “NUR was the first supplier in the market to offer both roll-fed and flatbed UV-inkjet printers,” Reis continues. “The addition of this new 10-foot model to the NUR Expedio roll-fed product line, along with our UV-inkjet flatbed, NUR Tempo, is a clear demonstration of our leadership role and our ability to deliver wide-format printing and workflow solutions that meet the market’s real needs."
