Heidelberg Opening Regional Offices Across The United States

KENNESAW, Ga., March 23, 2006 – Heidelberg today announced that it is well into the process of opening six regional offices in locations across the U.S. to put its sales and service management teams closer to its customers. The new offices expand Heidelberg’s presence in key regional areas and provide a network of local support that includes improved access to Heidelberg regional management teams. “Heidelberg is committed to empowering its customers with the resources and support they need to succeed in today’s competitive marketplace,” said Jim Dunn, president, Heidelberg USA. “With our regional office openings, we are establishing closer ties with local printers to provide them with an easy and convenient process for addressing their specific needs.” Located in regions across the map, the six new offices will reside in the following areas: •Braintree, Massachusetts (Northeast region): opened March 2006 •Edina, Minnesota (North Central region): opened in May 2005 •Grapevine, Texas (Southwest region): opened November 2005 •Livonia, Michigan (North region): opened October 2005 •Owings Mills, Maryland (Mid-Atlantic region): opening spring 2006 •San Francisco Bay Area, California (Pacific North region): opening mid-to-late 2006 Each new office will house a team comprised of a regional sales manager and a regional service manager, who are equipped to meet all of the sales and service needs of the customers in their areas. The two senior managers are supported by an operations manager and a customer service representative. With the local support network, Heidelberg customers can easily reach their Heidelberg contacts for questions about orders, service needs and other support functions. The regional Heidelberg experts reside in and know their customers’ areas, making direct access and customer visits easy and convenient for the customer. In addition to the new offices, Heidelberg has three Regional Print Media Demonstration Centers located in Cranbury, NJ, Mt. Prospect, Ill. and Cypress, Calif. These demonstration centers house a range of Heidelberg prepress, press and postpress equipment and are available to all Heidelberg customers. Visitors to these regional demonstration centers also can experience Heidelberg systemservice service offerings and view its carefully tested and selected consumables, which are designed to help customers optimize their investments in Heidelberg equipment. The new office openings and Regional Print Media Demonstration Centers are part of Heidelberg’s ongoing commitment to giving printers what they need. In May 2005, Heidelberg opened its latest Print Media Demonstration Center (PMDC), a 33,000 square-foot facility in Kennesaw, Ga. built as a resource and educational center for the print media industry. The state-of-the-art facility is the largest of its kind in the world and is open to anyone in the industry including printers, organizations, associations and graphic arts students. The center is home to a wide range of Heidelberg prepress, press and postpress solutions as well as its Prinect integrated workflow solution and consumables offerings.
