Deluxe and Iowa Independent Bankers Extend Relationship

Thursday, March 23, 2006

Press release from the issuing company

ST. PAUL, Minn., March 22 -- Deluxe Financial Services today announced it has extended its longtime partnership with the Iowa Independent Bankers (IIB) and its for profit subsidiary, Independent Bankers Service Corporation (IBSC). The extension reflects a mutual dedication to maintaining the strength and integrity of the community banking environment while working to enhance customer satisfaction and expand the services offered to member banks. Created in 1971 to serve the specific needs of Iowa's community banks, the IIB is an independent community banking association representing the majority of independent community banks across Iowa. "Deluxe supports our mission to help member banks provide relevant products and solutions while preserving the reputation and trust of community banking," said Keith Lazar, president of IIB, IBSC and Washington State Bank in Washington, Iowa. "The IIB's relationship with Deluxe spans more than 20 years, and we look forward to a continued partnership that allows us to ensure that our member banks stay competitive in today's marketplace." As part of the agreement, Deluxe and the IIB will continue to work together to provide first-class solutions, like DeluxeSelect(SM) and the Deluxe Knowledge Exchange Series, to member banks. A comprehensive check ordering program that offers premium checks and related products on behalf of financial institutions, DeluxeSelect allows member banks to enhance customer service, simultaneously driving check penetration and increasing revenue. The Deluxe Knowledge Exchange Series arms financial institutions with the industry insight and customer experience strategies they need to design and pilot innovative solutions to business challenges. "Deluxe and the IIB share a commitment to improving customer satisfaction, loyalty and retention while increasing operational efficiency and growth," said Luann Widener, President, Deluxe Financial Services. "Deluxe is proud to contribute to the competitive success of community banks by providing fully-managed financial services that allow member banks to focus on the needs of their customers."
