Leading Daily Newspaper in Korea Chooses WoodWing

Press release from the issuing company

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (June 6th, 2008) - WoodWing Software has landed its first customer in Korea — the leading daily newspaper in the country. JoongAng Daily is the English-language edition of JoongAng Ilbo, with a circulation of 2.3 million. The newspaper recently made the decision to replace its current installation with WoodWing’s Smart Connection Enterprise editorial solution.

JoongAng Daily is published in alliance with the renowned International Herald Tribune. The Seoul-based newspaper provides daily news coverage and analysis to readers throughout Korea.

WoodWing’s partner in Korea, Yangjae Media, facilitated the installation of Smart Connection Enterprise, replacing the old QPS system at JoongAng.

“I am very pleased to welcome JoongAng Daily to our rapidly expanding list of customers in the Asia Pacific region,” said Remco Koster, Managing Director of WoodWing Asia Pacific. “I’m very grateful to our partner, Yangjae Media, for handling the implementation. The entire process was very professional and smooth. This is a great start for us in a very exciting country.”
