Press release from the issuing company

Grandville, MI – March 20, 2006 – X-Rite Inc., a leading provider of color-measurement solutions, will partner with Pictorial Offset Corp. to present the spring 2006 session of Pictorial University. Pictorial University provides educational programs to corporate print buyers, designers and brand marketers. Since 1995, it has been hosted twice a year by Pictorial Offset Corp., the largest privately owned, single-facility commercial printer in the United States. “In the 11-year history of Pictorial University, this is the first time we have partnered with another company,” says Lester Samuels, managing partner of Pictorial Offset Corp. “We are excited about the additional value X-Rite will bring to our audience.” Each session of Pictorial University revolves around a different theme related to print production. The theme for the spring 2006 session is Pictorial University: QualityWorks, with an underlying story of Quality + Sustainability = Profitability. Broadly, the upcoming session will address the role of brand management in corporate communications. X-Rite will present ways that print buyers and brand managers can assure brand integrity, while managing a brand’s print communications to a higher standard. “Brand consistency, integrity and growth is the hottest topic in the printing industry today,” says Chris LaFontaine, worldwide product manager/graphic arts for X-Rite. “In these times of consolidation and attrition, the entire printing industry is looking for ways to remain competitive and sustainable.”
