Monday, March 20, 2006

Press release from the issuing company

[Cohoes, NY] – Mohawk Fine Papers Inc. announced today that as a result of a coordinated marketing effort, National Envelope will now stock Mohawk Options 100% PCW envelopes. The well-known, quality and performance of Mohawk Options 100% PCW has made it a favorite among designers and printers for years. And, Options’ environmental attributes have made it a primary choice for corporations to showcase their commitment to social responsibility. Manufactured with windpower, Mohawk Options 100% PCW was the first 100% postconsumer recycled paper to receive certification by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). And, as one of Mohawk’s first papers to be manufactured entirely with windpower, Mohawk Options 100% PCW not only raised industry standards but catapulted awareness levels of corporate sustainability issues to a new market. As the first and only envelope converter to be FSC certified, National Envelope allows its customers to meet FSC’s chain of custody requirements and use the FSC logo when using an FSC-certified printer. According to Laura Shore, Mohawk’s Senior Vice President Communications, “This is really a significant step for direct mailers. By choosing FSC-certified papers, printers, and envelopes, they are helping to ensure the preservation of critical forestlands worldwide. By using the FSC logo they are demonstrating their commitment to sustainability.” Mohawk Options 100% PCW envelopes in #10 commercial, A2 and A6 sizes are now readily available through National Envelope. Whether it is an identity system, direct mailer, announcement, note card set or invitation, it can now be made completely, and easily, with the most environmentally sound papers available today.
