Citiplate Names Kim Kukla Director Of Technical Operations And Product Commercialization

Press release from the issuing company

(Westbury, NY - March 8, 2006) Gary Dolgins, Chief Executive Officer of Citiplate, Inc. has announced the appointment of Kim Kukla to the newly created position of Director of Technical Operations and Product Commercialization. In this key position, Ms. Kukla will be responsible for assisting in the development, product life-cycle management, and commercialization of new products, including digital printing plates based on Citiplate's rich portfolio of patented and proprietary thermal, violet and process-free technologies. Ms. Kukla will also serve as the liaison between Citiplate's Technical Services, Manufacturing, and Research & Development organizations, all based at its facility in Jackson, Tennessee. A seasoned graphic arts industry technical executive with an in-depth, comprehensive background in offset printing plate technologies, Ms. Kukla brings over 25 years of experience to this new assignment. She is well known in the industry and, over that period, she has held key technology and product development positions at Imation, Spectratech and, most recently, at Kodak-Creo's soon-to-be-closing Middleway, West Virginia location. Mr. Frank Patello, Chief Operating Officer of Citiplate said: "It's rare that individuals of Kim's high caliber become available. But, following the announcement that the Kodak-Creo plate manufacturing facility in Middleway, West Virginia would be closing, we had the opportunity to speak with Kim. We are indeed fortunate to now welcome her as a member of our Citiplate team. Her extensive CTP and no-process plate background and experience will be valuable assets as we move ahead with our thermal, violet, high-speed UV and no-process plate product development initiatives." Ms. Kukla reports directly to Mr. Patello and has relocated to Tennessee to assume her new duties. Citiplate, a leading independent innovator and manufacturer of printing plates since 1953, is a "business-to-business" (B2B) supplier of CTP plate technologies and no process plate solutions. Among its key digital business partners are CTP electronics distributors; CTP consumables dealers: large-volume printers; platesetter manufacturers; purchasing groups, and others, who buy or resell custom-manufactured digital plate products in bulk quantity.
